International Recognition for Evolution Wellness Fitness Training Programs
Asia’s leading health and wellness group Evolution Wellness Group (EW) today announced that several of its internal fitness training programmes have received recognition in the form of Continuing Education Credits (CEC) from three international fitness education providers, namely the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), and PTA Global.
These internal training programmes, developed in-house by EW’s Learning and Development team led by Group Head of Learning and Development, Jacqueline Wong, are primarily for Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First personal trainers, who meet the required standards of these world-renowned fitness education institutions.
These internal training programmes which have received this recognition include:
Celebrity Fitness | Fitness First |
Celebrity Fitness Foundations | Fitness First Foundations |
Fitness Foundations Business | Fitness Foundations Business |
Essentials Workshop | Essentials Workshop |
Celebrity Personal Trainer Level 1 | Certified Fitness Coach Levels 1 & 2 |
These means that any Celebrity Fitness or Fitness First personal trainer who undergoes the above courses will be eligible for CEC points if they possess an ACE, NCSF, or PTA Global certificate, according to the number of credits awarded by each education provider.
“This recognition is testament to the high quality of our internal training programmes delivered by our Learning and Development as well as Fitness teams, which seek to equip our personal trainers with the right balance of fitness education, social, and business communication skills in order to set them up for success and be able to provide our members with the support they need on their fitness journeys,” said Simon Flint, CEO, Evolution Wellness Group.
In addition to the above, Fitness First Asia has long been a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance, which is the largest non-profit association representing the yoga community globally. Fitness First Asia’s teacher training programme is recognised as one which follows Yoga Alliance’s standards, where students who complete a verified training may be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers.
“Over the years, we’ve established a reputation as an organisation that provides our employees with solid career path opportunities, in particular our club and fitness teams whose roles form the bedrock of our business. We have an extremely capable team of L&D professionals who are committed to curating training programmes that meet the needs of our employees, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality internal training which in turn, makes us a clear employer of choice,” Flint concluded.
